Governing Body
Joshua Gooden, Mayor of Scott City, is seeking applications from eligible residents interested in filling a vacancy on the City Council.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a full-time resident of Ward 4 in the City of Scott City (please review the City’s Ward Map - Ward 4 is represented in green). If you need assistance determining your ward, please contact City Hall at 620-872-5322.
- Be a qualified elector of the City (registered voter) as provided in the Kansas Constitution article 5, section 1.
- Be willing and able to fulfill the duties of City Council Member for the remainder of an unexpired term which ends January 2030.
The Mayor intends to make an appointment for the vacant position at the Regular City Council Meeting on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.
